Feeling a bit like fall is in the air…and we are loving it! This is our Fall CSA pickup this Saturday and I am excited about getting to harvest some of my favorite vegetables ..Yard long beans, baby turnip greens and fresh spicy arugula. Remember if you can’t pickup you need to let up know via email or Facebook. We are going to open the farm market this Saturday as well with fresh Apple bread and our fabulous…yes I do me fabulous Honey Glazed walnut carrot pies. This will be the last market until after our Handmade & Homegrown Fall Festival…
This is going to big…BIG fun for the whole family! I will tell y’all more about it later this coming week…But just a shout out…if you are crafty and want to participate has a vendor at the fall fest…let us know we have very limited space still open. You can email me or facebook message us and we will be happy to get you the details. If anyone would like to volunteer to help out with the event please do…this is a free to everyone farm fun event…and we need all the help we can get. And here is a great thing we are doing to help out our local Madison Creek Elementary school. We are raffling off one of our Spring/Summer CSA shares for the event. The processes we are sharing with the school to help fund a growing farmers garden. Which we will also be donating the seeds and supplies for the kids to grow their own vegetables organically. The drawing will be held at the farm Oct 13th. and the winner will get one of our coveted Spring/Summer shares. Y’all know we sell out in days when we open the shares for new shareholders in January…some lucky person will be a shoe-in for a spot through the raffle and we love the fact this will help get our kids back in the dirt and in the sweet sunshine! The tickets are $2 ea…buy 1 or buy 20 tickets it is up to you…thank you in advance. You can get your tickets at the market.
See y’all at the farm:)
